Year 6 WW2 Project:

On Monday 19th December, Year 6 opened their classrooms to their parents and some classes in KS2 as World War II museums, showcasing their work from this term.

Tickets had been given out earlier and were checked and punched on the way in! The children were all specialists in particular areas of the war such as rationing, The Battle of Britain and the evacuations as well as many more!

The children had all researched their subject extensively and spoke very knowledgably on their topics. They also had the chance to show off their excellent half term projects as well as out DT projects this year, our clay medals and our Make-Do-and-Mend Christmas stockings.

They also shared their writing on ‘The Lion and the Unicorn’, ‘Goodbye Mr Tom’ and ‘Rose Blanche’ from this term. This was topped off by a performance from our WW2 singers who sang, ‘We’ll Meet Again’ and ‘It’s a Long Way to Tipperary’. It was a fantastic afternoon and a great opportunity for parents to come in and see all the hard work that the Year 6 have put in over the term.
