ASCENSION CATHOLIC ACADEMY TRUST: CONSULTATION MARCH 2022
As you may already be aware, the Governors of St Ignatius have recently taken the decision to initiate the consultation process regarding the acquisition of academy status and forming the Ascension Catholic Academy Trust with our partner Catholic Schools.
This does not mean we have decided to convert to an Academy, but that we wish to seek the views of all our community to inform our final decision. To support parents / carers in developing their knowledge and understanding of what is involved in becoming an academy we have prepared a questions and answers consultation booklet which is available below.
Included in the booklet is a response sheet which we strongly encourage you to complete and return to us by 1st April, in order that your opinions are considered as part of the consultation process. If you would like a hard copy of the booklet please contact the School Office. You can also complete this as a Google Form by clicking on the link below.
To further support your participation in the consultation we invite you to attend an information session with School Leaders and Governors. The meeting will include a presentation about what the proposed Ascension Catholic Academy Trust would mean for the School and will be your opportunity to ask questions. You are warmly invited to submit questions in advance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org to be answered at the meeting then shared on the website. You can find answers to many questions in the FAQ leaflet mentioned above.
We anticipate the meeting will last for approximately 60 minutes, commencing at 5pm on Monday 14th March in the School Hall.
