E.D.I. Group
The E.D.I. Group is made up of children from across the school who want to promote Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in our school with the aim to make everyone feel welcome at St Ignatius and celebrate our differences.
Mr Penson introduced what will be involved in joining the E.D.I. Group by explaining what the terms Equality, Diversity and Inclusion mean and got children to think about what this already looks like at St Ignatius.
As part of the E.D.I. Group, children will learn about the 9 protected characteristics enshrined in the Equalities Act 2010 and how we can act to ensure everyone feels included in and out of school.
The E.D.I. Group will meet throughout the year to shared their views and ideas for improving how our school celebrates diversity and plan out actions that children can become involved in.
