Welcome to St Ignatius Catholic Primary School!
St Ignatius is a thriving, diverse Catholic Primary School in Sunbury-on Thames. We are a two-form entry school, maintained by the Diocese of Westminster, providing a quality education for children from Reception to Year Six. We primarily serve the parishes of St Ignatius Sunbury and St John Fisher Shepperton, though we have many children from other local parishes.
Everything we do at St Ignatius is rooted in our Catholic ethos and Gospel Values, knowing that all children are made in God's image and are loved by Him, and that it is our life's work to develop the whole child.
We have three key aims: Excellence, Unity and Service.
We believe that all children are entitled to the best quality education we can provide, with wide opportunities to develop their God-given gifts and talents. We have a highly committed team who are dedicated to the continual improvement of the school, with high aspirations for all our learners in a rapidly developing world. We have developed an excellent bespoke curriculum for children, with a strong foundation in Catholic Social Teaching and our community.
We believe we are all God's family, and as such we are a strong school community of children, families and staff. We actively promote inclusion and diversity, where every child matters. We instil in our children the importance of love, solidarity, and supporting one another, our local community and our worldwide community.
All children will learn the importance of service and working for the greater good. We are committed to supporting a variety of charities, from our local food bank to international aid organisations, encouraging children to use their gifts to help others. We believe that no-one is too small to make a difference in the world.
On our website you can learn more about the school, find Admissions information and other useful documents. If you need any further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact the school.
I am extremely proud to be the Headteacher of St Ignatius, and look forward to welcoming you in person.
